The lakes are calm and empty, and you can enjoy the silence of nature to the full. Experience some time out in the middle of the lake on the sauna boat, where unique, idyllic scenes await you. Enjoy the warmth of the sauna and feel at one with nature – an unrivalled feeling of peace and serenity.
Personal.
Unlike public saunas, you will have the sauna boat all to yourselves. With space for up to six people, you can enjoy a private and relaxing time out on the water – perfect for friends, family or a romantic getaway for two. You will have four hours to experience the warmth of the sauna and the idyll of Lake Geneva to the full in a personal atmosphere.
Flexible.
Whether you come as a couple, a trio, a quartet, a quintet or a sextet – the decision is entirely up to you. And best of all: the price is always the same regardless of the number of people. So you can plan entirely according to your wishes and share this special experience with precisely those people with whom you feel most comfortable.

The sauna boat.
Our sauna boat was designed and handcrafted with great attention to detail by Saunaboot GmbH in Lucerne. They were the first to bring these sauna boats to Switzerland. Equipped with an electric motor, it glides almost silently over the water and provides a unique experience. The simple design of the sauna boats is a real eye-catcher – further models can be found on Lake Zurich, Lake Lucerne and Lake Thun.
The sauna boat offers approx. 15 m² of three comfortable areas that are perfectly coordinated: that are perfectly coordinated:
Sauna area (approx. 5 m²): Enjoy the soothing warmth and let your mind wander. Relaxation and lounge area (approx. 5 m²): Ideal for relaxing breaks between sauna sessions – here you can make yourself comfortable and enjoy small snacks. Open platform (approx. 5 m²): The perfect place to enjoy the fresh air and to climb directly into the water via the boat ladder. The sauna boat is also steered from here.
You are your own drivers!
Thanks to the 5.9 kw electric motor and the simple operation, you can drive the sauna boat from the age of 18 without a motorboat licence. An exclusive wellness oasis that combines relaxation, nature and design in a unique way.

Safety.
We want you to feel completely comfortable on the sauna boat. This also means that you should feel completely safe. For this reason, you will find life jackets, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket on board. And some written information to make things a little more understandable. You will receive detailed instructions from us immediately before your trip on the sauna boat.

About me.
The sauna boat is located at Quai Gustave-Ador 33 in Geneva and invites you to enjoy a unique experience on Lake Geneva. The rental service is run by me, Magaly Séchaud, founder of La Capitaine rit.
My passion is the lake and the joy of sharing its beauty and possibilities with you. With the sauna boat, I would like to offer you a special experience on the lake even in the colder months of the year: soothing warmth in the sauna, combined with the unique view of the lake, the mountains and the city of Geneva.
The boat is equipped with an electric motor (5.9 kW) and can be steered without a licence. Only storms or thunderstorms may necessitate a postponement; otherwise, almost all weather conditions are suitable for unforgettable moments.
The sauna boat season in Geneva is expected to run from September to May, perfectly complementing my summer rentals. This means I can offer you unforgettable experiences on the lake all year round:
- In winter: cosy warmth in the sauna with a unique view of Geneva and the Alps.
- In summer: varied boat rentals and sporting activities for the whole family.
My goal is to make the lake accessible to everyone, whether for a moment of relaxation, a sporting adventure or simply a unique experience.
